Trips
SCHOOL TRIPS
The many positives related to leaving the school site to develop learning and understanding cannot be underestimated. At Coedcae, many staff and departments make fantastic use of sites both near and far to enhance learning undertaken in the classroom.
Over the past year the following school trips have been enjoyed by hundreds of our pupils:
Llangrannog (Urdd) Year 7
Tossa de Mar (Spain) Years 7 and 8
Axemar Lizum - Austria (skiing) Years 8-11
London (Art and History visits) Years 10 and 11
Auschwitz (Poland) Year10 and 11
Sennedd (Cardiff) Years 8 and 9
Swansea (many visits to University, Plantasia, National Waterfront Museum etc) all years
Gower (Duke of Edinburgh expeditions) Years 10 and 11
There have also been many out of school activities related to Science (Penclacwydd and Techniquest), Maths (competitions held at Glamorgan University), English (Spelling Bee competition at Newport, theatre visits) and of course PE across the town, county and Principality(soccer, rugby, netball, hockey, golf, cross country, athletics etc).
All trips/activities are carefully organised, with Risk Assessments being undertaken, and staffing ratios adhere to national guidelines.
All trips/activities are covered by a comprehensive insurance policy.
